Omani and Bahraini Foreign Ministers Hold Talks to Strengthen Bilateral and Gulf Cooperation

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, received today Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, at his office during the latter’s official visit to Oman.
The meeting reviewed the longstanding fraternal relations between the two countries and reaffirmed their mutual commitment to enhance cooperation across various sectors to serve shared interests.
The Ministers discussed preparations for the 46th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), scheduled to be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain on 3 December. Both emphasized the importance of continued coordination to achieve the objectives of joint Gulf action.
In addition, the two sides exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern, affirming their support for initiatives aimed at bolstering security and stability in the region.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashil Al Maskari, Head of the GCC and Regional Dialogue Department at the Omani Foreign Ministry; Dr. Juma Ahmed Al Kaabi, Ambassador of Bahrain to Oman; and several officials from both countries.
