Leyla Aliyeva Meets Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Addis Ababa, The Gulf Observer: Leyla Aliyeva held a meeting with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali to review the current state of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Ethiopia and explore prospects for expanding cooperation.
During the meeting, Leyla Aliyeva conveyed greetings from the President of Azerbaijan and extended an official invitation to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali to pay a visit to Azerbaijan. The Ethiopian prime minister accepted the invitation with pleasure and expressed his high esteem for Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed praised Azerbaijan’s rapid development and highlighted President Ilham Aliyev’s farsighted leadership and growing international authority. He emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors and was briefed on Azerbaijan’s ongoing restoration and reconstruction efforts in its liberated territories.
The discussions also focused on Azerbaijan’s successful hosting of the COP29 Climate Conference in November 2024, which drew wide international attention. The two sides explored opportunities to apply Azerbaijan’s experience to the organization of the COP32 Conference, scheduled to be held in Ethiopia in 2027, and reaffirmed the importance of experience-sharing in this critical field.
The meeting underscored the mutual commitment of both countries to deepening cooperation and advancing collaboration on regional and global issues of shared interest.
