Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday strongly condemned what he described as “unwarranted attacks” against Iran, hours after the United States and Israel carried out air strikes on the Islamic Republic, escalating tensions in the region.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office of Pakistan on its official X account, Dar received a telephone call from his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi.

The statement said the two leaders reviewed the evolving situation in Iran and the broader regional context amid rising hostilities.

“The Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister strongly condemned the unwarranted attacks against Iran and called for an immediate halt to escalation through the urgent resumption of diplomacy to achieve a peaceful, negotiated resolution to the crisis,” the Foreign Office said.

The remarks come as concerns grow over the potential for a wider regional conflict following the reported air strikes. Pakistan reiterated its call for restraint and emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomatic engagement to prevent further deterioration of the security situation.
