President Prabowo Meets Emperor Naruhito, Strengthens Indonesia–Japan Ties

Tokyo, The Gulf Observer: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto paid a courtesy call on Emperor Naruhito at the Imperial Palace Tokyo on Monday, as part of his official visit aimed at تعزيز bilateral cooperation and discussing key strategic issues.
Upon arrival at the Imperial Palace complex, President Prabowo was warmly received by Emperor Naruhito. The two leaders proceeded to the Take-no-ma room for a group photograph before engaging in discussions.
According to a statement issued by the Presidential Secretariat, the meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, featuring a one-on-one conversation between the two leaders. In addition to formal state matters, the discussion included a lighthearted exchange of personal stories, reflecting the friendly rapport between President Prabowo and the Japanese Emperor.
During the visit, President Prabowo also held a separate meeting with Fumihito, further reinforcing ties at the highest level of Japan’s imperial family.
The engagements underscored the strong emotional connection and longstanding friendship between Indonesia and Japan, extending to the imperial household.
Following the formal meetings, President Prabowo joined Emperor Naruhito and Crown Prince Fumihito at a state luncheon held at Rensui North, a section of the Imperial Palace complex renowned for its classical architecture. The relaxed setting, overlooking a traditional Japanese garden, provided an opportunity for informal interaction, with President Prabowo expressing admiration for the serene landscape.
The warm and cordial atmosphere highlighted the strengthening partnership between the two nations, with leaders reaffirming their commitment to deepening cooperation across various sectors.
President Prabowo was accompanied by his son Ragowo Hediprasetyo, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
