Oman and Kuwait Discuss Regional Developments, Stress De-escalation Efforts

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Haitham bin Tarik received Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, at Al Barakah Palace in Muscat for high-level talks on bilateral relations and regional developments.
During the audience, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah to His Majesty the Sultan and the people of Oman. In response, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik asked that his greetings and best wishes be conveyed to the Emir of Kuwait and its people.
The discussions focused on ongoing regional developments, with His Majesty listening to Kuwait’s perspectives on the ongoing conflict and its far-reaching repercussions for regional countries and the global economy.
Sultan Haitham reaffirmed Oman’s position on the importance of intensifying international efforts to de-escalate tensions, reduce acts of provocation, and pursue comprehensive solutions to resolve the crisis at its roots. He emphasized that such measures are essential to safeguarding regional security, stability, and the well-being of peoples across the region.
The meeting was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman, Dr. Mohammed Nassir Al Hajri, Ambassador of Kuwait to Oman, and Abdullah Nasser Al Obaidi, Assistant Foreign Minister for the Minister of Foreign Affairs Office.
The audience reflects the continued close coordination between Oman and Kuwait on regional issues and their shared commitment to promoting dialogue, stability, and peaceful resolution of conflicts.
