Azerbaijan and Serbia Hold Third Round of Consular Consultations in Belgrade

Belgrade, The Gulf Observer: On April 28, the third round of consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Serbia was held in Belgrade, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation in consular affairs and exploring new avenues for collaboration.

The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Serbian side was headed by Natasa Rašević, Acting Assistant Minister for Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.

During the consultations, both sides reviewed the current state of cooperation in consular affairs and discussed prospects for further development. The delegations also explored the possibility of signing new bilateral agreements aimed at strengthening institutional ties in the consular domain.

In addition, the parties exchanged views on recent developments in consular services, with particular emphasis on digitalization and modernization efforts to improve efficiency and accessibility.

The importance of deepening cooperation in related sectors, including migration, justice, education, labor, and social protection, was also highlighted as part of broader efforts to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.
