Oman, France Discuss Strengthening Economic and Trade Cooperation

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, received Gérard Mestrallet, Special Envoy of President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic, during an official meeting in Muscat.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the longstanding bilateral relations between Oman and France, and explored avenues to further enhance cooperation across various sectors of mutual interest.
The discussions focused on strengthening economic cooperation, with particular emphasis on logistics, expanding trade exchange, and enhancing the strategic role of Omani ports in facilitating maritime connectivity and supporting the smooth flow of international trade.
The two sides also highlighted the importance of improving the integration of global supply chains between Asia and Europe, leveraging Oman’s geographical and logistical advantages as a regional trade hub.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to advancing economic partnership and deepening coordination in areas that support sustainable development and mutual prosperity.
The meeting was attended by Said Hamoud Al Maawali along with several officials from both sides.
