Vietnam Reaffirms Solidarity with Cuba During High-Level Special Envoy Visit

Havana, The Gulf Observer: Lê Hoài Trung, Politburo member and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Việtnam, visited Cuba as Special Envoy of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Việtnam (CPV) Central Committee and State President Tô Lâm, holding a series of high-level meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.
During the visit from June 20 to 22, the Vietnamese envoy met First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) Central Committee and President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel, as well as Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz. He also held talks with Cuba’s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.
In addition, Lê Hoài Trung briefed a conference organized by the PCC Central Committee and chaired by President Díaz-Canel on the outcomes of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Việt Nam, highlighting key policy directions and development priorities.
During the meetings, the Vietnamese envoy reaffirmed Việtnam’s consistent policy of strengthening solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with Cuba, emphasizing support for the Cuban people’s revolutionary cause and a shared commitment to advancing fraternal ties for mutual development, as well as for global peace and stability.
He expressed confidence that, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba, the country would overcome current challenges and continue progressing toward greater prosperity and social well-being.
Cuban leaders welcomed the Vietnamese delegation and expressed appreciation for the decision to send a special envoy to share outcomes of Việtnam’s 14th National Party Congress, describing it as a reflection of the deep trust and historic friendship between the two Parties, states, and peoples.
They reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors and achieving tangible results that serve the interests of both nations. Cuban leaders also praised Việt Nam’s revolutionary legacy and socio-economic achievements, noting that its experience under the Đổi Mới (Renewal) policy offers valuable lessons for Cuba’s ongoing transformation efforts.
