Turkmenistan, Bangladesh Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Ambassador Nazrul Islam, Secretary Bilateral (East and West) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, to discuss the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation.

The meeting focused on key areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Bangladesh, including political relations, trade and economic ties, as well as cultural and humanitarian engagement.

Following the political consultations held in Ashgabat on the same day, the sides reaffirmed the importance of maintaining regular contacts between the relevant governmental institutions and departments of the two countries.

The parties expressed confidence that the agreements reached during the consultations would be translated into practical measures in the near future, further contributing to the development of bilateral relations.

The officials also highlighted the effectiveness of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Bangladesh within international and regional organisations. In this context, they reaffirmed the importance of mutual support for initiatives aimed at promoting peace, stability and sustainable development.

The meeting underscored the shared commitment of Turkmenistan and Bangladesh to deepening mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthening constructive dialogue across various fields.
