Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: NiftySphere Institute of Arts & Design is developing a platform that brings together fashion, heritage, youth development and cultural diplomacy to promote Pakistan’s soft image on national and international stages, under the leadership of Syed Usman Tahir, Advisor to the Federal Minister for National Heritage & Culture Division and Chief Executive Officer of the institute.

Through a series of publicly and internationally oriented cultural and fashion initiatives, Syed Usman Tahir is working to create opportunities for young Pakistani talent to engage with international communities and to contribute to bilateral cultural relations. The initiative places particular emphasis on women’s empowerment, the preservation of cultural heritage, creative education, and the use of fashion as an instrument of international cultural exchange.

A central objective of the programme is to provide NiftySphere students with meaningful platforms on which they can represent Pakistan, develop professional confidence, strengthen their creative skills and gain exposure to international standards and cultural environments. By supporting young designers and artists, the institute aims to translate student talent into a positive representation of Pakistan’s creativity and cultural identity.

The forthcoming Fashion Show Season 5 – Cultural Colors, scheduled for 27 August 2026 at Sheesh Mahal, Serena Hotel Islamabad, is intended to carry this vision forward. The event will bring together fashion, art, heritage and cultural expression, while offering students an opportunity to present Pakistan’s diverse cultural identity through contemporary creative work.

Students taking part in the event will act as young ambassadors of Pakistan’s creative and cultural heritage, demonstrating how fashion and design can contribute to the country’s soft image, to international cultural diplomacy and to stronger bilateral cultural relationships.

Under the leadership of Syed Usman Tahir, NiftySphere Institute of Arts & Design says it remains committed to creating platforms that both celebrate Pakistani heritage and prepare the country’s young creative generation to engage confidently with the international community.

Cultural Colors Season 5, according to the institute, represents more than a fashion show. It is positioned as a platform for youth empowerment, women’s empowerment, cultural heritage, creative education and international cultural dialogue, with the broader aim of presenting Pakistan’s positive cultural identity to the world.
