MSC says 3 floating hotels full for 1st week of FIFA World Cup
Doha, The Gulf Observer: The reservations for the first week of the World Cup have reached 100% stated the MSC Cruises Group, owner of the 3 floating hotels docked at Doha Port.
According to the estimates of the MSC Cruises Group, the capacity of the three cruise ships reach 10,000 beds, and reservations for the first week of the World Cup have reached 100%.
The MSC Opera, the third cruise ship to serve as a floating hotel during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, arrived at Doha Port.

Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive HE Akbar Al Baker affirmed in statements yesterday that offering accommodation and recreational services on board floating hotels reflects the strenuous efforts exerted to organize the best World Cup in history.
MSC Opera is a modern floating hotel offers luxurious services to World Cup fans with a variety of room options ranging from traditional cabins overlooking the sea to rooms with balconies and luxury suites, in addition to multiple dining possibilities and programs and entertainment for all ages.
At 275m in length and 32m in width, the 13-deck MSC Opera can accommodate nearly 2,679 people with 1,075 rooms.
Floating hotels are one of several facilities provided by the State of Qatar for fans of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, offering multiple booking and accommodation options throughout the tournament, including apartments, villas, fan villages and usual hotels.
The cooperation between Qatar and MSC Cruises dates back to 2016, when Doha welcomed the Group’s first giant cruise ship, MSC Fantasia.
