Azerbaijan and Kuwait Celebrate Strengthened Bilateral Cooperation
Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on Friday welcomed Kuwait’s newly appointed Ambassador, Mohammad Faisal Al-Mutairi, during a formal meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Minister Bayramov accepted a copy of the ambassador’s credentials, marking the official commencement of Ambassador Al-Mutairi’s tenure in Azerbaijan. The meeting coincided with the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait, a milestone both sides praised as a testament to the strength of their bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
Discussions underscored the importance of continued collaboration and mutual support within regional and international organizations, including the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The two officials also reviewed outcomes from the recent COP29 climate conference, which was held in Baku, reflecting on shared commitments to addressing global environmental challenges.
Ambassador Al-Mutairi expressed optimism about the future of Azerbaijan-Kuwait relations, pledging to work diligently to further strengthen the partnership.
Both sides reaffirmed their dedication to fostering positive ties, emphasizing the importance of expanding cooperation across various sectors.
