Azerbaijani and Turkish Defense Ministers Meet at IDEF 2025, Sign MoU on Military Security

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, held a bilateral meeting with Yaşar Güler, Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye, during his visit to Istanbul for the 17th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2025).
The meeting focused on the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in key areas, including military affairs, military-technical collaboration, and military education. Both ministers reaffirmed the strategic nature of Azerbaijani-Turkish defense ties and highlighted the significance of IDEF 2025 as a platform for enhancing cooperation.
Emphasizing the deep-rooted alliance between the two brotherly nations, the ministers also exchanged views on regional security dynamics and other issues of mutual interest.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a “Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Mutual Military Security,” marking another milestone in the robust and evolving defense partnership between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
