Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan Explore Expanded Healthcare Cooperation at SCO Ministers’ Meeting

Bishkek, The Gulf Observer: Health ministers of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan held bilateral talks on the sidelines of the 9th meeting of health ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states in Bishkek, according to Khovar news agency.
Officials said the cooperation between the two countries in healthcare and social protection continues to advance within the framework of broader friendly relations between their governments, as highlighted by Tajikistan’s Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed avenues to expand collaboration in key areas, including the digitalization of healthcare systems, professional training and retraining of medical specialists, and the introduction of modern diagnostic and treatment methods.
The two sides also exchanged views on additional areas of mutual interest aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery and improving public health outcomes in both countries.
Both delegations expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing bilateral collaboration in the health sector, the ministry added.
