First U.S.–Azerbaijan Economic Dialogue to Convene in Baku on Sidelines of Energy Week

Baku, The Gulf Observer: The first United States–Azerbaijan Economic Dialogue is set to take place on June 2 in Baku, bringing together senior officials and business leaders from both countries to deepen bilateral economic cooperation across key strategic sectors.

The dialogue is jointly organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the U.S. Department of State, and will be held on the sidelines of Baku Energy Week in line with the U.S.–Azerbaijan Charter on Strategic Partnership.

The high-level platform is expected to focus on expanding cooperation in regional connectivity, trade, industry, transit, energy security, investment, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure, reflecting growing economic engagement between the two nations.

In addition to government-to-government discussions, representatives of the Azerbaijani and U.S. business communities will participate in a dedicated session of the forum. The session is expected to facilitate direct engagement between private sector leaders and support new commercial partnerships.

According to organizers, the Dialogue will also include the signing of multiple cooperation agreements and commercial deals, further strengthening economic ties and encouraging long-term investment flows between Washington and Baku.

Officials noted that the initiative marks an important step in institutionalizing economic cooperation under the Strategic Partnership framework, while also enhancing collaboration in emerging technologies and energy-related sectors.
