Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Reviews Second Phase of Arkadag City Construction
Arkadag, The Gulf Observer: Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, visited Arkadag City on Tuesday to assess the progress of its second-phase construction projects. During his visit, Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with leaders from relevant sectors to discuss the ongoing developments, as reported by Turkmenistan’s official media.
The National Leader toured areas designated for the establishment of a medical cluster and carpet weaving enterprises, as well as reviewing the quality of construction work for new buildings and finishing materials. He emphasized the importance of integrating structures into the urban landscape and enhancing the surrounding areas.
Berdimuhamedov reviewed several key projects, including the State Museum, a bus station, and other infrastructure facilities. He noted that the museum’s exhibition should reflect the rich history of the Turkmen people and the achievements of Arkadag City, offering adjustments to ensure the project’s cultural significance.
A working meeting also addressed preparations for upcoming celebrations, such as International Neutrality Day and the New Year. Berdimuhamedov stressed the need for the events to be organized to the highest standards and for the timely distribution of keys to new residents of the city.
Additionally, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty visited the under-construction roundabout at the intersection of Akhan and Kopetdag avenues. Upon reviewing the progress, he proposed naming the central monument “Taýçanak,” symbolizing the aspiration for a bright future. He emphasized the importance of using high-quality materials and aesthetically pleasing designs for the monument and surrounding areas.
Recognizing the rapid pace of construction, Berdimuhamedov highlighted the alignment of the project with international standards but also pointed to the need for further improvements as the second phase of the megacity continues to unfold.
