Tehran, The Gulf Observer: The Iranian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a court complex in Islamabad, Pakistan, on Tuesday, which claimed several lives and left many others injured.

In an official statement issued late Tuesday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei expressed profound condolences to the people and government of Pakistan, particularly to the families of the victims of the “inhumane and cowardly act of terrorism.”

Baqaei also prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the explosion, reaffirming Iran’s solidarity with Pakistan in its fight against terrorism and violent extremism.

According to Pakistani authorities, a suicide bomber detonated explosives outside a court in the federal capital, killing 12 people and wounding at least 27 others. The Pakistani Taliban, also known as Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), later claimed responsibility for the attack, citing it as retaliation for ongoing government security operations in the country’s northwest.

The Iranian spokesperson reiterated Tehran’s firm stance against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, emphasizing the need for joint regional and international efforts to eradicate extremist networks that threaten peace and stability.
