Moroccan Golfers Achieve Historic Breakthrough at 2025 PIF Saudi International

Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Moroccan golf celebrated a landmark achievement at the 2025 PIF Saudi International, where rising amateurs Adam Bresnu and Reda El Hali delivered impressive performances at the Riyadh Golf Club, signalling a new era for the sport in Morocco.
For the first time, two Moroccan amateurs not only competed in this elite Asian Tour event but also successfully made the cut — a milestone that underscores the country’s growing competitiveness on the international golf stage.
Bresnu, representing the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation for the second consecutive year, demonstrated exceptional composure and precision throughout the opening rounds. He completed his first 36 holes without a single bogey, placing himself comfortably within the field’s upper tier heading into the weekend. He ultimately secured a 33rd-place finish at nine under par, further solidifying his status as Morocco’s most promising amateur talent. His latest success builds on his notable 2024 performance, where he finished inside the top 10 — a rare accomplishment for a young amateur on the global circuit.
El Hali, making his debut at the Saudi International, also rose to the challenge of competing against a strong international field. Showing maturity beyond his experience, he advanced past the cut in his first appearance at this level. He finished 73rd at four over par, earning valuable experience and demonstrating clear potential to join the ranks of the region’s leading players.
The achievements of both golfers reflect the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation’s expanded investment in youth development and the strengthening of the national talent pipeline. As Morocco continues to cultivate disciplined and ambitious athletes, the performances of Bresnu and El Hali highlight the nation’s steady ascent within the world of professional golf.
More broadly, their success at the PIF Saudi International reinforces Morocco’s growing visibility and influence across the global sporting arena — marking a period of progress, confidence, and rising international presence.
