President Aliyev Thanks Donald Trump for Supporting Shusha Forum Remarks, Praises Peace Efforts
Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has expressed gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for sharing his remarks from the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, while commending Trump’s role in advancing peace efforts between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
According to a statement shared on the Azerbaijani President’s official social media accounts, President Aliyev thanked President Trump for reposting his comments in which he described the U.S. leader as a “Man of Peace,” referencing remarks cited by Breitbart during the Shusha Global Media Forum.
In his message, President Aliyev noted that with less than a month remaining before the first anniversary of the historic Washington Summit, he wished to reiterate his sincere appreciation for President Trump’s indispensable role in promoting a lasting peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The Azerbaijani leader stated that President Trump’s leadership had made a historic contribution to bringing the South Caucasus region closer to peace, stability, and prosperity.
Concluding his message, President Aliyev again described President Trump as a “Man of Peace,” underscoring Azerbaijan’s appreciation for the U.S. President’s diplomatic engagement and efforts to support regional peace and reconciliation.
