President Emomali Rahmon Meets Chinese Industry Leaders to Boost Tajikistan’s Metallurgical Sector

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with representatives of three of the largest metallurgical companies from the People’s Republic of China to discuss expanding industrial cooperation and promoting investment in the country’s manufacturing sector.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed prospects for cooperation in the development of the ferrous metallurgy industry, as well as the production of cement, lime, glass, and the introduction of advanced industrial technologies.

President Rahmon emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships with leading global companies to support Tajikistan’s industrial development and modernization efforts.

The discussions highlighted that cooperation with major Chinese enterprises, including MMS Capital Engineering and Resource In Corporation, would help expand Tajikistan’s production capacity in ferrous metallurgy, cement, lime, and glass manufacturing through the application of modern technologies.

The participants noted that the planned collaboration is expected to increase exports of industrial products, generate new employment opportunities, enhance value-added manufacturing, and improve the competitiveness of Tajikistan’s national industry in regional and international markets.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest, reaffirming both sides’ commitment to strengthening economic and industrial cooperation between Tajikistan and China.
