President Marcos Reaffirms Philippines’ Commitment to Stronger and More Inclusive ASEAN on 59th ASEAN Day

Manila, The Gulf Observer: Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening regional solidarity, resilience and cooperation as ASEAN marks its 59th ASEAN Day.

In his message, President Marcos underscored the spirit of unity and shared purpose among ASEAN member states, as the Philippines assumes the 2026 ASEAN Chairship under the theme “Navigating Our Future Together.”

The President emphasized the importance of collective efforts in addressing regional challenges and harnessing emerging opportunities. He reaffirmed the Philippines’ commitment to advancing a stronger, more resilient, inclusive and people-centered ASEAN.

As the regional bloc commemorates another year of partnership and cooperation, the Philippines pledged to continue working with ASEAN members to promote a future founded on solidarity, shared responsibility and closer regional collaboration.

President Marcos’ message highlighted the Philippines’ vision of an ASEAN that remains united in navigating an increasingly complex regional and global environment while ensuring that the benefits of regional cooperation reach its people.
