President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev Arrives in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: At the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev arrived in Uzbekistan on June 9 for an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and deepening strategic ties.

President Radev was warmly received at Tashkent International Airport by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and other senior Uzbek officials. The main agenda of the visit will unfold on June 10.

According to the official program, the visit will feature high-level talks between the leaders of Uzbekistan and Bulgaria, as well as a series of official and business events. A number of bilateral agreements are expected to be signed, paving the way for enhanced cooperation across multiple sectors.

Discussions between the two Presidents will focus on advancing mutually beneficial relations, with special emphasis on increasing trade turnover and establishing partnerships in key areas such as the agro-industrial complex, pharmaceutical industry, extractive sector, and digitalization. The agenda also includes initiatives to boost collaboration in tourism and promote cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

President Radev is also scheduled to attend the 4th Tashkent International Investment Forum, underscoring Bulgaria’s interest in participating in Uzbekistan’s dynamic economic development and investment landscape.

The visit is anticipated to mark a new chapter in Uzbek-Bulgarian relations, expanding the scope and depth of cooperation between the two countries.
