Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits school in Karshi district

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a school No. 12 in the center of Karshi district – the city of Beshkent in Kashkadarya region, Uzbekistan.

Currently, 1.4 thousand boys and girls study here. More than a hundred teachers teach them. Last year, the school underwent a significant renovation. Training in one profession and two foreign languages has been provided. There are clubs for computer literacy, sewing, carpentry, and others.

The Head of state entered the classrooms and talked with teachers and students. He inquired about the conditions at the school and the quality of textbooks.

These days, preparations for the winter season and tree-planting activities continue throughout the country. The President got acquainted with this work using the example of this school. Responsible persons were given instructions regarding heat supply to social facilities and energy-saving technologies. The need to update school construction standards was noted, providing for all infrastructure, functionality, and energy efficiency criteria.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of landscaping areas around schools as part of the “Yashil Makon” (Green Space) project.

“A school is also a center of culture. Teachers are the ones who lead by example in everything. If the school area is landscaped and seasonal flowers are planted, this will be both an education and an example for young people”, the Head of state said.
