Turkmenistan Embassy in Islamabad Hosts Presentation of "Jewel of the Mind" by National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad organized a special presentation of the book Jewel of the Mind, authored by Turkmenistan’s National Leader, His Excellency Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.

His Excellency Ambassador Atadjan Movlamov led the event, offering participants a detailed insight into the contents, philosophy, and motivations behind the book. Published in November last year, Jewel of the Mind comprises an introduction and two chapters.

The first chapter, Travel to History, narrates the historical journey of Turkmenistan, chronicling its origins and development over the centuries. The second chapter, Spiritual Heritage, delves into the cultural and spiritual dimensions of the Turkmen people, highlighting their contributions to world civilization.

Ambassador Movlamov emphasized that the book reflects Turkmenistan’s longstanding principles of peace and preventive diplomacy, with rich scientific data about the political and trade relations of ancient Turkmen states such as Altyn-Depe, Margush, the Seljuk Empire, and the Khorezmshah dynasty. He noted that the work offers foreign readers valuable insights into Turkmenistan’s history, moral values, scientific advancements, education, and cultural evolution.

In his commentary on the book, Berdimuhamedow particularly highlighted the influence of the great poet and thinker Magtymguly Pyragy on Turkmen human values and identity. Notably, the International Organization of Turkic Culture has declared 2024 the Year of Magtymguly Pyragy, further underlining the poet’s enduring legacy.

Participants were also introduced to Turkmenistan’s ancient Anau culture, the Bronze Age civilizations, the Seljuk era, and the Khorezmshah state, as depicted in the book, showcasing the profound historical roots and the cultural wealth of the Turkic people.

The presentation comes in a year of significant symbolic importance, as the United Nations—upon Turkmenistan’s initiative—has declared 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the international recognition of Turkmenistan’s policy of Permanent Neutrality.

The event concluded with a shared appreciation of Turkmenistan’s cultural contributions and its steadfast commitment to peace, trust, and international friendship.
