UAE President Receives Prime Minister of Montenegro to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today welcomed His Excellency Milojko Spajić, Prime Minister of Montenegro, who is on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates. The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi.
His Highness expressed his hope that the visit would contribute to strengthening the growing ties between the two nations. In response, His Excellency Spajić conveyed greetings from His Excellency President Jakov Milatović of Montenegro and extended his best wishes for the UAE’s continued progress and prosperity.
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in key development sectors, including the economy, trade, renewable energy, food security, and infrastructure, with an emphasis on fostering sustainable economic growth. Additionally, both sides exchanged views on regional and international matters of mutual concern, stressing the importance of diplomacy in promoting peace, stability, and conflict resolution at the global level.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening development partnerships with Balkan countries, including Montenegro, where the UAE has significant investments in renewable energy, food security, and infrastructure. He reiterated the UAE’s support for initiatives that enhance regional stability and prosperity.
His Excellency Milojko Spajić expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized Montenegro’s dedication to deepening its relations with the UAE and exploring further cooperation opportunities.
During the meeting, His Highness witnessed the signing of two bilateral agreements in the fields of economy and tourism. The agreements were signed on behalf of the UAE by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and on behalf of Montenegro by Prime Minister Spajić.
Among those present at the meeting were H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Reem Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation; senior UAE officials, and the Montenegrin delegation comprising ministers and senior representatives.
