Uzbekistan’s FM Meets with Kazakhstan’s Deputy PM in Astana
Astana, The Gulf Observer: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, met with Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Murat Nurtleu, on Tuesday in Astana, according to media reports. The meeting, which took place during Saidov’s official visit to participate in the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), was described as both productive and cordial.
“Glad to meet with Deputy Prime Minister – Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan H.E. Murat Nurtleu,” Saidov wrote on his official Telegram channel. “I thanked my colleague for the hospitality and congratulated him on the successful meeting of the Foreign Ministers Council of the SCO member-states. We covered both bilateral and multilateral topics on our common agenda. The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will continue deploying their full efforts to timely implement all the agreements reached between our Leaders.”
The visit by the Uzbek delegation, led by Foreign Minister Saidov, to Astana began on May 20. It underscores the commitment of both nations to strengthen their diplomatic and cooperative ties. The discussions held during this visit focused on enhancing bilateral relations and addressing key issues within the framework of the SCO.
