Israel Reduces Gaza “Humanitarian Zone” to 11% of Territory: UNRWA
Gaza, The Gulf Observer: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has reported that Israel has significantly reduced the so-called “humanitarian zone” in Gaza, now comprising just 11% of the territory. This development has led to widespread panic and fear among the displaced population in the region.
In an official statement, UNRWA highlighted the dire situation, stating: “Thousands of families continue to be displaced in Gaza as Israeli authorities issue new evacuation orders.” The agency expressed deep concern over the shrinking “humanitarian zone,” emphasizing that this drastic reduction is exacerbating the already chaotic and fearful conditions faced by those forced to flee their homes.
UNRWA reiterated its urgent call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, underscoring the need to protect civilian lives and uphold humanitarian principles during this ongoing conflict.
