King Abdullah II Praises Indonesia’s Role in Addressing Geopolitical Challenges

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan has praised the Indonesian government for its strategic role and consistent efforts in responding to pressing global geopolitical challenges, particularly in relation to the ongoing conflicts in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria.
The commendation was delivered during a bilateral meeting between the Jordanian and Indonesian delegations, co-chaired by King Abdullah II and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman, Jordan, on Monday (April 14).
“I am truly convinced that under your leadership, Indonesia will play an important role for all of us in addressing various issues,” the Jordanian monarch stated, as quoted in a press release from President Prabowo’s secretariat in Jakarta.
President Prabowo expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and reaffirmed the strong and enduring ties between Indonesia and Jordan. He highlighted the shared commitment of both nations to global peace and justice, particularly with regard to the Palestinian cause.
“Indonesia and Jordan remain at the forefront in the fight for the rights of the Palestinian people,” President Prabowo stated, reiterating Indonesia’s unwavering support for Palestinian independence.
He emphasized Indonesia’s deep commitment to the cause, noting, “Indonesia is very serious in advocating for the right of the Palestinian people to live in an independent state.”
The President also stressed the need for peaceful, fair, and balanced solutions to regional conflicts, underscoring diplomacy and cooperation as essential pillars of Indonesia’s foreign policy.
The meeting in Amman marked the final stop of President Prabowo’s five-nation diplomatic tour across the Middle East, which began on April 9. The tour included official visits to the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Egypt, and Qatar, where President Prabowo was received by each country’s head of state.
One of the primary objectives of the tour was to garner regional support for Indonesia’s humanitarian initiative to evacuate 1,000 Palestinians from Gaza for medical treatment in Indonesia.
The visit further reinforced Indonesia’s commitment to playing a constructive role in regional diplomacy and humanitarian efforts, while deepening its partnerships with key nations in the Middle East.
