UAE President and Emir of Qatar Hold High-Level Talks in Doha

Doha, The Gulf Observer: President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, met on Wednesday with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, during a fraternal visit to Doha aimed at further deepening the strong and historic ties between the two countries.
The two leaders held extensive talks on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation for the mutual benefit of their nations and peoples. They also reviewed the latest regional developments and discussed joint efforts to foster peace, stability, and prosperity in the Middle East.
His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani warmly welcomed the UAE President and affirmed the importance of the visit in reinforcing the deep-rooted fraternal relations between Qatar and the UAE, consistent with their shared commitment to advancing Gulf unity and cooperation.
The leaders exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues, with particular emphasis on the situation in the Middle East following the announcement of a ceasefire between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the State of Israel.
President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed praised Emir Sheikh Tamim’s diplomatic efforts in facilitating the ceasefire agreement, stressing the need for continued international coordination to uphold regional security and promote long-term stability.
His Highness also reaffirmed the UAE’s solidarity with Qatar in light of the recent attack on its territory, expressing full support for all measures undertaken by Qatar to ensure the safety and security of its people. In response, Emir Sheikh Tamim expressed his appreciation for the UAE President’s sincere sentiments and the country’s supportive stance during this period.
Both leaders reiterated the importance of resolving crises through dialogue and diplomacy as the primary path toward achieving lasting peace and maintaining regional and global security.
The meeting was attended by members of the delegation accompanying His Highness the UAE President, including:
- H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence;
- H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs;
- Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President;
- and several UAE ministers and senior officials.
From the Qatari side, attendees included:
- H.H. Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, Personal Representative of the Emir of Qatar;
- Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs;
- along with several Qatari sheikhs and senior officials.
Following the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan departed Qatar and was bid a warm farewell by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and a delegation of senior officials.
