Uzbekistan and Germany Reaffirm Commitment to Dialogue on Afghan Peace Process

Berlin, The Gulf Observer: The Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, held talks with Erik Kurzweil, Director for Indo-Pacific Policy, South Asia, and Afghanistan at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the meeting focused on the current state of bilateral cooperation regarding Afghanistan. The two sides exchanged views on regional developments and underscored the importance of maintaining a regular and constructive dialogue to support the peaceful resolution of the situation in Afghanistan.

The talks were held in a constructive and forward-looking atmosphere, resulting in a mutual agreement to further develop practical cooperation and dialogue between Tashkent and Berlin on Afghan-related matters.
