Oman Participates in GCC-Russia-Jordan Ministerial Talks

Oman

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman participated in a consultative ministerial meeting of foreign ministers held via video conference, bringing together representatives from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Russian Federation, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to discuss escalating regional tensions.

Oman was represented at the meeting by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, who joined counterparts in deliberating on key regional and international developments.

The ministers exchanged views on the ongoing Israeli-American war against Islamic Republic of Iran and its far-reaching consequences across the region. Discussions highlighted serious concerns over attacks targeting critical infrastructure in multiple areas, as well as the worsening humanitarian situation resulting from the conflict.

Participants also addressed the broader global implications, particularly the disruption of energy supplies and the impact on international maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for global oil shipments.

The ministers collectively expressed strong condemnation of all acts of targeting and the escalating repercussions of the conflict, underscoring the urgent need to prevent further deterioration of the situation.

The meeting reaffirmed the importance of coordinated diplomatic efforts to address the crisis and mitigate its humanitarian and economic consequences at both regional and global levels.
