Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has criticized what he described as the enemy’s continued economic warfare against Iran, stressing that the country will not bow to pressure or “excessive demands.”

Speaking during a meeting with members of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture on Monday, President Pezeshkian said the ongoing negotiations had been designed to fully safeguard the rights of the Iranian nation.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran will under no circumstances submit to pressures and excessive demands,” he stated.

President Pezeshkian said that following what he termed the enemy’s failure in the military arena, attention had shifted toward economic warfare against Iran. He added, however, that the Iranian government and private sector would overcome the challenges through solidarity, cooperation and mutual understanding.

The Iranian president also reiterated Tehran’s commitment to diplomacy in a message posted earlier on X, saying Iran had consistently honored its commitments and pursued every possible avenue to prevent war.

“All paths remain open from our side,” he wrote, adding that attempting to force Iran into surrender through coercion was “nothing but an illusion.”

He further emphasized that diplomacy based on mutual respect was “far wiser, safer, and more sustainable than war.”
