President Aliyev Says Zangezur Corridor Could Transform Nakhchivan into Major Transport Hub

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has said the transportation of up to 15 million tons or more of cargo through the Zangezur Corridor could significantly boost economic activity and create new employment opportunities in Nakhchivan.
Speaking in an interview with Azerbaijan Television in Nakhchivan, President Aliyev said increased cargo flows through the corridor would generate greater economic activity in the region.
The Azerbaijani President noted that the transportation of approximately 15 million tons or potentially higher volumes of cargo through the Zangezur Corridor would contribute to the creation of more jobs and increased economic activity.
He further expressed confidence that Nakhchivan could become an important transportation hub as the corridor develops, describing this prospect as entirely achievable.
President Aliyev’s remarks underline Azerbaijan’s view of the Zangezur Corridor as a major component of regional connectivity, with the potential to strengthen trade and transportation links and contribute to the economic development of Nakhchivan and the wider region.
