Oman-Pakistan Friendship Association Commemorates Pakistan Independence Day in Muscat
Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Oman-Pakistan Friendship Association (OPFA) organised a distinguished gathering in Muscat to commemorate Pakistan’s Independence Day, highlighting the longstanding bonds of friendship, goodwill and cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The event was attended by senior government officials, representatives of the Embassy of Pakistan, members of the OPFA Board and prominent members of the Pakistani community in Oman.
The gathering provided an important platform to celebrate the shared values, cultural heritage and historic ties between the peoples of Oman and Pakistan, while promoting greater cooperation, mutual understanding and meaningful engagement at both community and institutional levels.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah, Founder and President of the Oman-Pakistan Friendship Association, expressed appreciation to the distinguished guests and reaffirmed OPFA’s commitment to further strengthening relations between the two brotherly countries.
Sheikh Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah also conveyed his appreciation to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq for his visionary leadership and continued efforts to promote friendship, understanding and cooperation between Oman and Pakistan.
He stressed that such occasions serve as valuable platforms for celebrating the shared heritage and historic relationship between the two nations, while encouraging closer cooperation and people-to-people contacts.
The Oman-Pakistan Friendship Association continues to serve as a bridge between the two countries, supporting initiatives aimed at promoting cultural exchange, economic cooperation, friendship and stronger people-to-people relations.
