King Abdullah II Highlights Jordan’s Efforts to Attract More Chinese Tourists

Amman, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty King Abdullah II on Wednesday discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Jordan and China in the tourism sector during a meeting with Trip.com Group, a leading global travel service provider, in Shanghai.
According to a Royal Court statement, King Abdullah was briefed by Trip.com Group Executive Vice President Bo Sun and Senior Vice President Amanda Wang on the company’s operations, programmes aimed at promoting tourist destinations, and initiatives to integrate cultural heritage with tourism activities.
The King highlighted Jordan’s interest in attracting more Chinese tourists to the Kingdom, enabling them to explore its diverse cultural, natural and archaeological attractions and tourism offerings.
The meeting also addressed opportunities for cooperation in strengthening smart marketing initiatives to promote tourist destinations, as well as the importance of establishing new and expanding existing air links between Jordan and China.
Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah, and Jordan’s Ambassador to China Hussam Husseini accompanied the King during the visit.
