Princess Fahda Honors Female Winners of 46th King Abdulaziz International Quran Competition

Makkah, The Gulf Observer: Princess Fahda bint Falah Al Hathleen, spouse of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, honored the female winners of the 46th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting and Interpreting the Holy Quran.

The closing ceremony for the women’s section was held in Makkah under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and was organized by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance.

The ceremony opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a recorded address by Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh.

The minister said the 46th edition represented a significant milestone in the history of the prestigious competition, with the participation of female contestants from various countries and, for the first time, a dedicated closing ceremony for the women’s section.

He attributed the continued development and success of the competition to the generous support and patronage of the Saudi leadership.

Congratulating the participating contestants, Sheikh Dr. Al Alsheikh emphasized that the true honor of those who memorize the Holy Quran is reflected in their commitment to its teachings through knowledge, conduct, morals and behavior.

He urged Quran memorizers to serve as exemplary ambassadors of the Holy Quran and representatives of goodness in their respective countries.

The ceremony underscored the Kingdom’s continued efforts to promote Quranic education and encourage excellence in memorization, recitation and understanding of the Holy Quran among participants from around the world.
