Amir of Qatar meets Palestine President

Astana, The Gulf Observer: The Amir of Qatar H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met today with H E Mahmoud Abbas, President of Palestine, on the sidelines of the sixth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed ways of enhancing them. The President also briefed HH the Amir on the most recent developments in Palestine, expressing his thanks to HH for the State of Qatar’s firm stance on the Palestinian issue, and for the support it provides to the Palestinian people.
They also discussed the latest regional and international issues of common interest, in addition to exchanging views on all topics on the agenda of the CICA Summit.
The meeting was attended by Honorable members of the official delegation.
On the Palestinian side, HE Hussein Al-Sheikh, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, HE Riyad Al-Malki, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and a number of senior officials were also present.
