Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman inaugurates World Defense Show.

RIYADH, TGO: On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, and Chairman of the General Authority for Military Industries, inaugurated here on Sunday, the first edition of the World Defense Show 2022.

The Crown Prince toured the exhibition’s facilities, which witnessed the participation of more than 590 companies from around the world representing 42 countries, in addition to the participation and attendance of a number of national government agencies operating in the defense and security sector.

Prince Mohammed was briefed on the virtual command and control center, equipped with the latest systems and technologies that simulate the future of command and control centers produced by major international defense companies.

The Crown Prince was accompanied during the opening ceremony by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, Minister of Interior; Prince Abdullah bin Bandar, Minister of National Guard; and Prince Khalid bin Salman, Deputy Minister of Defense.

He was also escorted by Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the World Defense Exhibition Ahmed Al-Khatib; Head of State Security Abdulaziz Al-Huwairini; Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries Eng. Ahmed Al-Ohali; Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Fayyad Al-Ruwaili; the Commander of the Joint Forces Lieutenant General Mutlaq Al-Azaima; Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Khaled Al-Biyari; Director-General of the Office of the Minister of Defense Dr. Hisham Al Al-Sheikh; and Military Adviser to the Minister of Defense Major General Eng. Talal Al-Otaibi.
