Bahrain-UAE longstanding historic ties praised
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa hailed long-standing fraternal relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
He noted the advanced level of diplomatic cooperation under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and UAE President His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed was speaking as held a meeting UAE State Minister at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Abu Dhabi Khalifa bin Shaheen Al Marar.
Undersecratry for Consular and Admninistrative Affairs Dr. Mohammed Ali Behzad and Bahrain Ambassador to the UAE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa also attended.
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed praised the jeebbes of the two countries’ governments, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to further bolster strategic partnership and adopt sound policies that support GCC, Arab and Islamic causes as well as international solidarity, global peace, security, tolerance and sustainable development.
Adressed the session, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed stressed his confidence that the UAE would succeed in hosting the upcoming 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28).
UAE State Minister Khalifa bin Shaheen Al Marar also strong bilateral ties based on mutual respect, steadily-growing ties and joint commitment to supporting security, stability and the settlement of regional and international conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy for peace and prosperity to reign in the region and the world.
Meanwhile, the Bahrain-UAE Consular Commission has convened for its first session, chaired by Dr. Behzad and UAE Assistant Undersecretary for Protocol Affairs.
The two sides reviewed aspects of joint cooperation and coordination in addition to exchanging expertise to further develop consular affairs to meet common aspirations.
