Qatar and Nepal Strengthen Bilateral Ties with Multiple Agreements
Doha, The Gulf Observer: In a significant display of mutual cooperation and friendship, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, and His Excellency Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the Prime Minister of Nepal, presided over a momentous signing ceremony today, witnessing the formalization of several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between the governments of Qatar and Nepal.
The distinguished leaders oversaw the signing of agreements spanning various crucial sectors, underscoring the commitment of both nations to deepen their bilateral relations and enhance cooperation across multiple domains. Among the agreements inked were:
- Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Education and Higher Education: Fostering collaboration in the field of education, including higher education and scientific research.
- Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation between Public Prosecution in Qatar and the Office of the Attorney General in Nepal: Strengthening legal cooperation between the two countries.
- Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Youth and Sports: Enhancing collaboration in the realms of youth development and sports activities.
- Memorandum of Understanding in Culture and Arts: Promoting cultural exchange and cooperation between the Ministry of Culture in Qatar and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation in Nepal.
- Agreement on Cooperation and News Exchange: Facilitating news exchange and cooperation between Qatar News Agency and the National News Agency of Nepal.
- Memorandum of Understanding for Diplomatic Training and Education: Enhancing diplomatic cooperation and training between the Diplomatic Institute in Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institute of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Nepal.
- Renewal of Memorandum of Understanding between Qatar Chamber and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce: Continuing collaboration in promoting trade and commerce between Qatar and Nepal.
- Establishment of a Joint Business Council: Fostering business ties and collaboration between Qatar Chamber and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce.
The signing ceremony, held in Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital, was attended by esteemed members of the official delegations from both countries, as well as several ministers and senior officials from Nepal.
These agreements underscore the shared commitment of Qatar and Nepal to bolstering their bilateral ties across a spectrum of sectors, heralding a new chapter of cooperation and partnership aimed at mutual prosperity and development.
