Kazakhstan Celebrates Gratitude Day Marking Foundation of People’s Assembly
Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakhstan commemorates Gratitude Day on March 1, celebrating the establishment of the People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan. This observance, dating back to 2016, aligns with the signing of the decree founding the People’s Assembly on March 1, 1995.
The People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan stands as a distinctive public institution dedicated to fostering interethnic and interfaith harmony within the society. During the XXXII session of the Kazakhstan People’s Assembly, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the Assembly’s pivotal role in the political modernization of the country and the reinforcement of nationwide unity.
Gratitude Day serves as a symbol of unity for Kazakhstan’s diverse population. The observance aims to cultivate tolerance, respect, and goodwill among children and young people, fostering interfaith harmony and strengthening interethnic relations across the country.
