Oman, Solomon Islands to establish diplomatic relations

New York, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman and Solomon Islands Wednesday signed a statement establishing diplomatic relations. The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations in New York.

The statement was signed by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi and Jeremiah Manelli, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade in Solomon Islands.

The two sides expressed their keenness to encourage diplomatic communication, commercial and economic cooperation, develop friendly relations between the two countries’ peoples and exchange expertise.
