Oman’s MoE Implements Royal Directives to Enhance Health Support for Students with Type 1 Diabetes
Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Omani Ministry of Education, under the esteemed directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, is providing electronic sensors to measure sugar levels and insulin pumps for children with type 1 diabetes. This initiative encompasses children under school age, those in pre-school education (kindergarten and preschool), and school students under the age of eighteen who are Omani nationals.
Her Excellency Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibaniyah, the Minister of Education, emphasized the importance of these generous royal directives, highlighting their alignment with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s continued commitment to the well-being of citizens across all age groups. The initiative also signifies the ongoing patronage bestowed upon the school education sector during the prosperous era of His Majesty.
Dr. Al Shaibaniyah stated, “Providing these electronic sensors contributes to offering the means and capabilities for a dignified, healthy life for this category of students. It enables them to pursue their educational journey with comfort and reassurance for themselves, their parents, and the educational staff in schools.”
Expressing deep gratitude, the Minister of Education extended the highest expressions of thanks to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on behalf of the Ministry’s employees and the parents of students benefitting from this initiative.
