Sayyid Theyazin Inaugurates Military Music Show in Celebration of 54th National Day
Muscat, The Gulf Observer: In a grand tribute to Oman’s 54th Glorious National Day, His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth, inaugurated the military music show hosted by the Royal Opera House Muscat. The three-day event is a continuation of an annual tradition, marking the national celebrations in November with a spectacular display of military music and cultural performances.
This year’s event brings together an impressive array of Omani military bands, including the Royal Guard of Oman, Royal Army of Oman, Royal Air Force of Oman, Royal Navy of Oman, Royal Oman Police, as well as the Royal Cavalry, Royal Camel Corps, the Scout Band, and the Infantry Team of the Royal Army of Oman. Each ensemble showcases the rich heritage and precision of Omani military music, with performances featuring bagpipes, drums, wind instruments, and intricate parade formations.
Reflecting Oman’s commitment to international diplomacy and cultural exchange, the show also welcomed musicians from Jordan and Austria. Their participation, with unique military performances and vibrant traditional attire, highlights Oman’s openness and strong ties with the global community.
