UAE Reaffirms Commitment to Palestinian Rights and Regional Peace

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to supporting regional peace and stability, as well as its longstanding and firm stance on safeguarding the rights of Palestinians. The UAE emphasized the importance of establishing a serious political framework to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, underscoring the belief that a two-state solution is crucial for achieving lasting regional stability.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the UAE reiterated its call for a comprehensive political horizon to resolve the conflict and establish an independent Palestinian state. The Ministry highlighted the UAE’s firm position on the necessity of a political resolution that ensures peace for both Palestinians and Israelis, reflecting the nation’s commitment to securing a just and permanent solution.

The MoFA also emphasized that the ongoing challenges in the Middle East region require reinforced communication and dialogue, prioritizing diplomatic solutions and enhancing both regional and international efforts in support of a comprehensive peace process. The UAE has continuously urged the international community to intensify efforts aimed at addressing the root causes of the conflict and ensuring a just resolution.

The Ministry expressed its categorical rejection of any infringements on the Palestinians’ unalienable rights and any efforts of displacement, reiterating the importance of halting settlement activities that threaten regional stability and undermine peace prospects. Additionally, the Ministry called on the international community, the United Nations, and the UN Security Council to fulfill their responsibilities in ending illegal practices that violate international law.

Furthermore, the UAE highlighted the critical need to prevent the escalation of the conflict and emphasized that, following the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the primary focus should be on eliminating extremism, reducing tensions, and protecting civilians. The Ministry called for the urgent, safe, and sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, ensuring the well-being of those affected by the ongoing crisis.
