Havana, The Gulf Observer: Cuba held a commemorative ceremony at the iconic Karl Marx Theater to celebrate the 95th birthday of Raúl Castro and the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of the Interior of Cuba.

The event brought together government officials, members of the armed forces, representatives of state institutions, and invited guests to honor both milestones in the country’s modern history.

Raúl Castro, who holds the rank of Army General and played a central role in Cuba’s revolutionary movement and subsequent political leadership, was recognized for his decades of service to the nation. The ceremony also marked 65 years since the founding of the Ministry of the Interior, an institution responsible for public security, border protection, civil defense, and other internal affairs functions. Officials highlighted the ministry’s role in safeguarding national security and maintaining public order throughout its history.

Held at the Karl Marx Theater in Havana, the commemorative event featured speeches, tributes, and cultural presentations reflecting on the achievements and legacy of both Raúl Castro and the Ministry of the Interior.
