The event, organized by the “Emirates Loves Philippines” platform, attracted more than 60,000 Filipinos, residents and visitors, underscoring the strong bonds between the UAE and the Philippines and reflecting the UAE’s commitment to tolerance, cultural diversity and social harmony.
Among the dignitaries attending the celebration were Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Alfonso Ferdinand A. Ver and Philippine Consul-General in Dubai Ambrosio Brian F. Enciso III.

He noted that these values are reflected daily in the contributions of the Filipino community living and working across the UAE.
Sheikh Nahyan said his admiration for the Filipino community had grown even stronger since his participation in last year’s celebration, praising its positive role in the country’s social and economic development.
Highlighting the UAE’s multicultural character, he noted that people from more than 200 nationalities call the country home. He emphasized that diversity remains one of the UAE’s greatest strengths and is supported by a national belief in mutual respect, understanding and coexistence among different cultures and traditions.
Sheikh Nahyan also praised the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for guiding the nation through regional and global challenges with stability and unity. He further expressed appreciation for the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and his continued efforts in advancing the UAE’s development.
The minister described the Filipino community as an integral part of the UAE’s success story, highlighting the inspiring entries submitted to the “Our Life in the UAE” competition, which reflected values such as family unity, dedication, resilience and generosity.
For his part, Ambassador Alfonso Ferdinand A. Ver expressed gratitude to the UAE and its leadership for fostering an environment that promotes cultural diversity and peaceful coexistence. He said the celebration demonstrated the strength of bilateral relations and the respected position enjoyed by Filipinos in the Emirates.
“This occasion is a chance to celebrate the close ties between our two peoples,” Ambassador Ver said. “It also reflects the sense of belonging and gratitude that Filipinos feel toward the UAE, a country that has become a second home to hundreds of thousands of them.”
The day-long celebration featured a vibrant lineup of cultural, artistic and entertainment activities. Filipino actress and singer Arci Muñoz headlined the event, while popular P-pop groups 1st.One, G22 and ALAMAT delivered energetic performances that highlighted the growing international influence of Filipino contemporary music.
Traditional Filipino culture was also prominently showcased through heritage presentations, including the Sagala pageant, a ceremonial procession featuring traditional and formal attire inspired by Filipino customs. Folk dances and cultural performances further brought the richness and diversity of Philippine heritage to life, delighting audiences throughout the event.
The celebration served as both a tribute to Philippine independence and a reaffirmation of the enduring friendship and cooperation between the UAE and the Philippines.
