16th Gulf Radio and Television Festival Commences in Manama

Manama, The Gulf Observer: The 16th edition of the Gulf Radio and Television Festival began today in Manama, under the slogan “Our Media, Our Identity.” The three-day event is organized by the Bahraini Ministry of Information in cooperation with Gulf Radio and Television.
The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Information, is participating in the festival with a pavilion in the “radio and TV production market.” The pavilion features dashboards and interactive screens showcasing Oman TV’s modern media content and outstanding programmes, including those from the General, Sports, and Culture channels.
The opening ceremony featured two symposiums. The first symposium focused on “Digital Media: Credibility and Positive Impact,” while the second addressed “Gulf Drama within Two Generations.”
During this edition of the festival, twenty media professionals, artists, directors, scriptwriters, and producers from the Arab Gulf countries will be honored. Among those being recognized from Oman are artist and writer Ahmed Said Al Azki, the late journalist Abdullah Said Al Shuaili, and sports broadcaster Younis Mohammed Al Fahdi.
The festival highlights the significant contributions of Gulf media and aims to foster greater collaboration and innovation within the region’s radio and television industry.
