Iranian, Turkish Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Ties and Regional Developments

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, on Thursday to discuss bilateral relations and exchange views on key regional and international developments.
During the call, the two foreign ministers emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation across all areas of mutual interest. Araghchi underscored Iran’s commitment to deepening bilateral ties with Türkiye and enhancing collaboration on shared regional priorities.
Araghchi also commended ongoing efforts aimed at easing tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, stressing the necessity of sustained consultations to safeguard regional peace and stability. He affirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran stands ready to contribute constructively to these initiatives.
In addition, Araghchi extended heartfelt condolences over the loss of several Turkish citizens in a recent military aircraft crash and conveyed sympathy to the families of the victims.
For his part, Minister Fidan highlighted the interconnected nature of peace and stability in the region, calling for the collective commitment of all countries to uphold security and cooperation.
The discussion reaffirmed the two nations’ shared resolve to work closely in addressing regional challenges and strengthening their strategic partnership.
