Kazakhstan, Mongolia Reaffirm Strategic Partnership and Expand Bilateral Cooperation

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakhstan has reiterated its commitment to strengthening comprehensive cooperation with Mongolia, as President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held extended talks with Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa at the Akorda presidential residence.
Speaking during the meeting, President Tokayev highlighted the deep historical and cultural bonds between the two nations, noting that both peoples are heirs to the ancient nomadic civilization of Eurasia and share common roots, traditions, and longstanding friendship.
“Kazakhstan attaches special importance to further strengthening cooperation with Mongolia. Today’s visit is highly significant and opens new opportunities for deepening bilateral relations,” Tokayev said, emphasizing the strong political will and growing trade and economic potential between the two countries.
He noted that multifaceted ties are advancing in the spirit of friendship and mutual support, supported by active high-level political dialogue and expanding cooperation between governmental and parliamentary institutions.
The Kazakh leader also recalled his state visit to Mongolia in October 2024, during which several key agreements and documents were signed, elevating bilateral relations to the level of a strategic partnership.
He added that trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two countries continues to strengthen, with rising commodity turnover and plans to implement joint projects in the industrial sector.
The talks reaffirmed both nations’ commitment to further enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors, reflecting a shared vision for deepening strategic ties and promoting sustainable development.
